Dear Sir,

I thank you very much for my liberal orders and for all the other conveniences which you have been so good as to afford me.

I suggest that Mr. Farquhar be employed upon my computations as soon as the work in York is finished & that although he be under the Computing Division, a monthly report of the work be sent to me.

I expect at present to sail by the Amérique on the 28th inst. But it is not quite certain that I can get off.
