Rome
Went to Palatine with Mr. Barnard. Bore of an old woman tagging on. Rather bright old critter too. Lovely day. Only one this visit. Afternoon clouded over. Z[ina] delighted with Palatine. Evening got cheated on jewelry.

Epiphany. Weather dreadful. Stayed at home & looked at photographs. Barnard's called. Afternoon tried to walk. Caught in rain. Evening permit for Vatican came. |
