C. S. Peirce Care Messrs. John Munroe & Co 7 Rue Scribe, París París June 2, 1880   To Dr. J. W. Porter Dear sir, I enclose herewith my accounts and will be greatly obliged if you will see that they are right in form and will give them a show at the Department so that I may get the money in good season. As my hotel bills come to more than $5 a day, I am prepared to have only that amount allowed. I send an extra voucher signed & sworn to by me to cover them in case it should be necessary. Please deliver the enclosed letter to the superintendent. Yours faithfully, C. S. Peirce P. S. I have no note of the number of the treasuring warrant issued to me.
