Cambridge, 1876 October, 19

My Dearest Chief,

I am much pleased with these probations[?] — these are very nice.

I am also highly gratified on the steps which have been taken for the settlement of Charlie's accounts.

I propose to go to the mountains, with James for a couple of days, and when I return I well enter into my material with Blake unless it be that Charlie's going to N. Y. embarrases that arrangement.
