Some details of the experiment are attached. (2) The above thermometers are graduated as follows 276, graduated from 50º to 73º F. into degrees, ½ degrees and tenths of a degree. Hicks, from 50º to 82º F. into degrees, ½ degrees and tenths of a degree. 16117, from 0º to 35º C. into degrees and fifths of a degree. 17262, from 0º to 40º C. into degrees, ½ degrees and tenths of a degree. (3) Hicks 20066, in 1881 at 32º read (…) at 62 |

therefore 20066 is 0º.35 too high at 62º.
Errors of 21498 will be determined and sent you. By a comparison of 21498 with 20066 the following mean result was obtained today:
