Custodial Service 

The Custodial Service of the University is responsible for keeping campus buildings in an optimal state of cleanliness. The manner of performing cleaning services depends on the characteristics of each building, as well as to the great variety of offices, lecture halls and laboratories, etc., in the various buildings. The Director is Ms. Sagrario Villanueva Arriet. The custodial personnel are divided into teams, each of which is in charge of the cleaning of a particular building. Each building is also divided into zones, which are the responsibility of a determined group of custodians. The custodial work is generally performed between the hours of 5 and 9am, in order not to interfere with the normal activity of the University. Normal custodial services include the following:

• Normal cleaning of all rooms and installations within the various buildings.
• Preparation of the annual plan of special cleaning (of windows, carpets, lighting fixtures, etc.)
• Supervision of custodial services contracted out to external companies.
• Submission of maintenance work orders to the Maintenance Service for any problems noticed during normal cleaning activities.
