Curriculum
The Master Program in R&D&i of Novel Drugs is made up of five different modules with their corresponding courses, with a total of 90 ECTS (60 theoretical and practical training classes + 30 research) and follows an active methodology which combines:
- Theoretical classes: 500 hours, aimed at providing the student with an ample theoretical base for all of the phases which make up the development of a novel drug, from its design and synthesis to its launch onto the market.
- Practical training classes: Considered to be a very important part of the Master Program, these classes are especially designed in such a way that they provide the most advanced techniques available today. Each student will carry out a total of 315 hours of personal work in a laboratory in order to learn the techniques of each one of the scientific fields of the program.
- Research Project: The student will be introduced into the field of applied research, carrying out a research project in one of the lines of research being carried out in CIFA or the departments of Science, Medicine or Pharmacy, dedicating a minimum of 800 hours throughout the entire Master Program. 30 ECTS.
- Seminars: The student will attend seminars, being introduced into the world of management and business areas related to the scientific fields. Topics such as team management, quality assurance processes, scientific research management, pharmaceutical marketing, etc. will be covered. In addition to specific courses, 200 hours of seminars with vanguard professionals from the Pharmaceutical Industry, Management, or other Universities will be offered so as to transmit their professional experiences to the student.
