An open, practical degree for understanding the natural environment and working in environmentally-related career fields
1. Masters Open
• Aimed at professionals, new graduates and postgraduate students:

· Environmental Science
· Chemistry
· Engineering
· Architecture
· Law
· Communication etc.
• Taught by:

• Uses interdisciplinary methods
• Preparation for doctoral studies
• Formation for environmental work in public administration or business
2. A practical Master’s
• Study of environmental field work in situ
• Students are evaluated through periodic reports
• Internships are part of every module
• Students are also in direct contact with corporate and government representatives
• Master’s Theses are directed by the university or the company where students are carrying out their internship
This Master’s degree strives to give an open, practical, interdisciplinary and comprehensive formation in environment studies, biodiversity, and human interaction with the environment in order to promote a more sustainable management thereof.
The instruction shows students the richness as well as the socioeconomic and natural complexity of the environment. Students are taught to study and resolve environmental problems.
The education given helps provide the knowledge and skills that should be the basis for a sustainable, ethical management of the environment. Teamwork is promoted as well as is a comprehensive view of the environment in its natural and socio-economic complexity.
The roles of research, businesses and environmental management are studied as well as the tools needed in these areas of work.
The courses available are selected from various schools of the University and teach students a wide variety of abilities. The departments of Zoology and Ecology, Plant Biology, Chemistry and Soil Science from the Faculty of Science, are the principal departments involved, although there is considerable work done in close collaboration with other Schools of the University.
