About the Double Licentiate Program
This double licentiate program is a pioneer in Spain for the broad humanistic and technical formation that it provides to the future educational professional, providing him or her with the most opportunities for professional internships of any program in Spain. The main advantage of this double degree program is the fact that it broadens substantially the spectrum of professional opportunities that graduates will encounter, and provides a synthesis of educational and psychological knowledge in service to individual persons and society.
How it works
With this new double licentiate program, student may take these two degree programs as the same time. By combining the two programs, the student will take 334 credits, instead of the 450 required by the two programs taken separately. During first-cycle studies, the student will take fundamental and methodological courses, and in the second cycle will take courses oriented to specialization.
Why take the Double Licentiate?
The person trained in education will be able to work in teaching and educational research, in school administration, human resources, and academic, professional and family counseling, etc. The licentiate in Educational Psychology broadens this spectrum of opportunities with attention to students with special needs or learning disorders. In order to take the Double Licentiate in Education and Educational Psychology, the prospective student must be “interested in persons, the needs of others, and their processes of growth, formation and training over the entire cycle of life”.
