About the Licentiate Program

The Licentiate in Humanities offers the student, in the first place, a basic academic formation from a broad perspective; its purpose is not to train specialists, but rather broad-minded professionals who are able to synthesize the knowledge provided by various areas of study. Secondly, the Licentiate offers a theoretical-practical combination of studies which is designed in the light of the "new professions" which require humanists with management skills. Today's society needs the formation provided by a program such as Humanities, in areas as diverse as teaching, management of NGO's, international relations, as well as commercial management (in business and human resources), and the cultural management of museums, theaters, orchestras, etc.
