LICENTIATE IN HISTORY


The Licentiate in History is oriented towards those students who, independently of the focus of their prior studies, wish to develop the intellectual aptitudes that will permit them to integrate the humanistic dimension of knowledge into their professional and intellectual formation.

The Licentiate Program in History seeks to guarantee that, upon finishing his or her studies, the student will be familiar with all the eras of human history, from a general and integrative perspective, without ignoring the necessary training in methodology which will provide a complete formation in historical studies. These objectives are intended to provide a solid base in the skills and knowledge traditionally required for professional work in history.

In addition, via the incorporation in the curriculum of classes with a practical character, the Licentiate in History also provides the student with the training necessary for obtain job placements upon graduation.
