CHARACTERISTICS

The Diploma in History of the 20th Century is an official degree of the University of Navarra. It is directed towards an ample public of persons interested in History, and University students who wish to complete their academic course of study. For this reason, its curriculum is very flexible and adapts itself easily to the schedules, wants, and necessities of each student. Additionally, the Diploma studies can be initiated within the first year of studies.

Personal research in History facilitates understanding the thoughts and events that are undergone by personages and societies. In encountering the complex, troubled and alluring 20th century one will come to better understand the world of today and be able to reflect on its ideas in the context of a new world order of multiculturalism, the resurgence of nationalisms, the search for a societal ethics, and the perseverance of religion.

MINIMUM CREDITS


The diploma requires the completion of 60 credits in courses offered, chosen by the student. Students who have completed any of these courses in their respective licentiates may have them transferred as valid credits for the Diploma.
There is no minimum of credits required per academic year. Completion of a research project
directed by Diploma professors is optional, for a maximum of 8 credits.

The student receives an assessment from a Diploma professor in order to design a personalized plan of study.
