| CHARACTERISTICS | ||
The Diploma in Philosophical studies is a University-accredited degree of the University of Navarra, and at the same time is of interest to all students who wish to complete their studies or professional preparation, with some fundamental philosophical training. Philosophy enriches oneself personally, develops one's habits and capacity, and helps to deepen a more radical comprehension of all other human knowledge. For these reasons, knowledge of philosophy embraces a greater scope of interest outside the courses required for the licentiate, and therefore, as experience has shown, is of interest to a great number of students from various different professional orientations. The
Diploma program is oriented towards university students of all disciplines.
These studies can be considered complementary to another licentiate
that one is currently in, or will complete. For this reason, one of
its noted characteristics is its flexibility, which allows it to adapt
to the possibilities, interests, and necessities of each student. The
Diploma studies may be initiated with in the first year. |
||
| MINIMUM CREDITS | ||
A
minimum of 60 credits of open-elective Philosophy courses are required
to complete the Diploma. It is not necessary to complete a minimum of
credits per academic year. Given the flexibility of the curriculum,
the student, from the beginning, counts on the assessment of a professor
of philosophy to design a personalized plan of study. The courses included in the curriculum of the Diploma, which have been completed as free configurations in the respective licentiates, can be transferred as valid credits for the Diploma. All of the afore noted must be in accord with the general norms of curriculum validation established by the University. |
