2. Authors /


2.1. Submitting original manuscripts

The magazine will provide authors with confirmation that it has received their articles within a maximum of 3 days.

 

The usual submission periods for original manuscripts are as follows:

1st-31st March for the December issue

1st-30th September for the June issue

 

The Editorial Committee will carry out an initial review of the articles received in order to ascertain whether they comply with the minimum quality requirements and are in line with the profile of the magazine.

 

2.2. Evaluation of originals

Comunicación y Sociedad only publishes manuscripts that have not previously been published and which receive a favourable evaluation from two external reviewers outside the University of Navarre, experts in the subject matter .

During the review period, the author and reviewers shall remain anonymous.

 

If the two evaluations received about an original manuscript contradict one another, Comunicación y Sociedad will turn to a third external reviewer.

 

The magazine will inform authors as to whether their original manuscript has been accepted for publication or rejected within one month of having received it. As well as the notification of this decision, authors will be sent the anonymous reports provided by the external reviewers.

 

Authors whose articles have received a favourable report but with certain suggestions regarding corrections must resubmit the manuscript, having first incorporated the suggested improvements, within one month.

Having received the corrected text, the proof reader will ask the authors to make any formal modifications required for the final publication of the text.

 

2.3. Regulations governing articles submitted

All articles must be original. They may be written in Spanish or English. They must be sent by e-mail to the journal's editiorial team: articuloscys@unav.es

The author is responsible for the authorship of the manuscript in the event of conflict with previously published articles.

 

The maximum number of authors per article is three. If the manuscript is linked to a research project in which more people have taken part, the other collaborators should be indicated in a footnote.

 

Communication recommends the citation of scientific publications from the field of journalism, audiovisual communication and advertising.

3. Reviews /

The maximum length for book reviews is 1000 words.

Reviews will only be accepted for books whose first edition (not translation) has been published in the past two years. If the review makes reference to other books, the publisher, city and year of publication must be included in brackets in the text itself.

The technical information about the reviewed book must include the full name and surname(s) of the author of the book, publisher, city and year of publication, and the number of pages.

The author of the review shall be identified by his/her name and surname(s) and must include an e-mail address.
