Producer of such films as “Chariots
of Fire”, “The Killing Fields” and “The
Mission”, among others, David Putnam stood
out for his own particular style of production, characterized
by leaving a creative imprint on his films and transmitting
human and social values. He is the recipient of ten Oscars
and made a major contribution to the revival of European
cinema. He was named Lord Puttnam by Queen Elizabeth II
in 1997.
