1999 • David Puttnam

Producer of such films as “Chariots of Fire”, “The Killing Fields” and “The Mission”, among others, David Putnam  stood out for his own particular style of production, characterized by leaving a creative imprint on his films and transmitting human and social values. He is the recipient of ten Oscars and made a major contribution to the revival of European cinema. He was named Lord Puttnam by Queen Elizabeth II in 1997.
