Journalist during 30 years who worked in a broad range of activities of his profession. He began as an artist and went on to become  reporter, assistant editor and later editor from1958 to 1966 of the daily Valladolid newspaper, “El Norte de Castilla”. He stands out principally for his best-selling novels, including “El Camino” (The Path), “Cinco horas con Mario” (Five hours with Mario), “Diario de un cazador” (Diary of a Hunter) and “La sombre del ciprés es alargada”, (The Long Shadow of the Cypress).
