Domingo Cavallo: “Spain needs to figure out how to recover its competitivity and how to increase its savings”
Former Minister of Economic Affairs for Argentina, Domingo Cavallo urged Spanish authorities to look for real, concrete solutions to the high debt problem in the country so as to avoid the serious economic, political and social consequences which could follow if things do not change. “Just like Argentina, Spain developed a debt problem during its period of economic prosperity,” he said during a conference at the School of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Navarra.

Three graduates of the School have received an award by the AECA
Virginia Casado, Beatriz Amillo y Juan Guerrero, graduates of the double licentiate degree program in LADE and Law at the University of Navarra, have been given an award by the “Asociación Española de Contabilidad y Administración de Empresas (AECA)”. All three were given the “Award for Best Interview,” for an interview which they carried out with Juan Odériz, the General Director of the bank Caja Navarra.

65 graduates of the School of Economics and Business Administration took part in the Annual Alumni Reunion
65 graduates returned to The School of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Navarra to participate in the Alumni Reunion. Participants reminisced about their years as a student there and caught up with former classmates and professors. Antonio Garre [Economics, ‘99] gave a presentation about the crisis in Spain, followed by the reading of an affectionate letter from Elvira Martínez Chacón, the “madrina” (godmother) of the class of 1999, given the fact that she could not be there for the reunion.
