The Mexican Marisol Villela (4th year, Humanities) and the Venezuelan Joyce Baptista (5th year, Double Degree in Philosophy and Journalism) performed international internships this summer in Beijing (China).

There, they worked in Art District 798, “an enormous group of art galleries dedicated to the promotion of the Chinese artistic patrimony, especially contemporary art,” explained Joyce Baptista. This community includes the visual arts, fashion design, and book production, among others.

Specifically, the young interns worked on the study of the prestigious artist Huang Rui, cofounder of this place. “Without a doubt, the experience has been worth it. Every day the people surprise us, along with the environment and the culture, so traditional in many aspects and so international in others”, added the student.

The two students have their trip and their stay covered by the "Global Internship Program" scholarship, a program fostered by the University of Navarra Business Foundation in order to finance the internships of University of Navarra students who wish to gain working experience in the USA and China.
