The Documentary Patrimony of the University is organized according to the stages in the life of the managed documents. There are different norms applied in each phase, for their organization, conservation, treatment and lending.
The Archival System is organized into the following individual Archives: The Administrative Archives (organized into Departmental Archives and the Central Archive), the Intermediate Archive and the Historic Archive. Together, these form a single General Archive, managed by the Archival System of the University.
The General Archive is considered functionally to be a single university Office, and integrates the entire cycle of documentary evolution, from the creation of the documents or their reception in the various units and offices, through their conservation or definitive elimination, always following the technical and legal criteria established by the University.
