Visiting Scholar Program

This programs makes it possible for professors or researchers from other Spanish or foreign institutions to participate for a determined period in the activity of the Institute, either in order to work on their own research projects, to collaborate with projects which are currently in progress within the Institute, or else to collaborate in teaching.

Short Stays

Those professors or researchers who are planning a short stay in Pamplona, for less than a week, for example, in order give seminars or talks, or to participate in a research project, may apply for the status of visiting scholar.

Along with the letter of application explaining the purpose of the stay, the applicant must send his or her Curriculum Vitae.

The application should be sent to the Administrative Offices of the Institute (luribe@unav.es) at least two months ahead of the date of the visit.

Visiting scholars will have access to the Library and to the publications archive of the Institute.

Long-term stays

The Institute offers three yearly opportunities for three month stays as a visiting scholar (the three months need not be consecutive). Potential candidates must send a letter of application and CV, along with an outline of their research project (1,000 words) and two letters of recommendation.

Applications must be sent to the Administrative Offices of the Institute at least three months ahead of the planned date of arrival.

If the application fits with the conditions of the visiting scholar program, the Institute may also evaluate the possibility of providing economic assistance to offset the costs of the stay.
