GRADING POLICY

Both the midterm and the final exam are mandatory. The final exam is comprehensive.

Additionally, there will be four quizzes to be done during lectures. Each quiz will be worth 0.5 points out of 10 in the final grade. Whenever the student fails to take one of these quizzes, one full point is substracted from the final grade, up to a maximum of two points.

If the student fails the course, the August grade will include performance in the quizzes.

Weights in the February grade are:

• Midterm: 30%
• Final: 50%
• Quizzes: 20%

Whereas in August, these weights are:

• Final: 80%
• Quizzes: 20%
