Welcome to the 2008 US Presidential Election Media Coverage Analysis, from the Politics and Media Value Project , ESIrg University of Navarra
Updated: July 23, 2008
We show the first graph after Hillary Clinton withdrawal as Democrat candidate. One month after she is quickly disappearing from the media scene.
Now, we count with a pure face-to-face media combat till the end of November 2008. Precedently, media attention was focussed in the Democrat candidacy. Now becoming a bipartisan attention. As expected, John MacCain is the main winner of the clarification of positions in the Democrat camp.
McCain has progressively reduced the media attention gap, till mid July. From that moment on, the media coverage advantage towards Obama tends to stabilize around 6 percentual points.
The big game has already begun.
