Libro dedicado a don Mariano Artigas

Don Mariano Artigas participó en el Workshop Third International Pascal Conference on Hermeneutics and the Natural Sciences, organizado por The Pascal Centre for Advanced Studies in Faith and Science, en el Redeemer University College, Ancaster, Ontario (Canadá), que tuvo lugar del 18-23 julio 2005.

Allí presentó la ponencia In Galileo’s Shadow. Evolutionism and Hermeneutics in France, Italy and Spain, 1877–1902, in the Light of the New Documents of the Archives of the Holy Office.

Los autores de las ponencias las adecuaron para su publicación en dos libros que acaban de ver la luz recientemente: Nature and Scripture in the Abrahamic Religions: Up to 1700 y Nature and Scripture in the Abrahamic Religions: 1700-Present, publicados por Brill Academic Publishers.

Como don Mariano no pudo retocar su contribución para que apareciera en estas obras, el profesor Jitse M. van der Meer, coordinador de la edición, le ha dedicado uno de los tomos con la siguiente dedicatoria:

“Dedicated to the memory of Mariano Artigas who now needs neither the book of nature nor the book of scripture”
