FAQ

The Diploma in Environmental Chemistry is a University-accredited Degree of the University of Navarra (L.O.U. Art. 34.3)

2.- Towards whom is it directed?

It is directed towards students of the Licentiate in Chemistry at this University who would like to develop their professional profile with an orientation towards the field of Environmentalism.

3.- The Diploma consists of how many credit hours?

60 credits, of which 41.5 credits are in core classes .

No. The classes for the Diploma also count as in-program electives and open elective classes for the Chemistry curriculum.

5.- Do I have to make an academic request or submit an application to take the Diploma?

Given that this involves creating a new academic record, admission must be requested from the Secretary of the School of Sciences.

6.- When do I have to register?

Students who are interested may register at any time while they are studying the Licentiate in Chemistry.

7.- Regarding the open elective classes included in the Diploma curriculum, could they also count for optional classes for the Licentiate?

This is not possible as it will affect the framework of the curriculum for the Chemistry Licentiate.

8.- If I have already taken and passed "Environmental Legislation" for the class "Evaluation of Impact, Management and Environmental Legislation," will I have to take that part of the class again for the Diploma?

Not necessarily. The grade received in that part of the class will also count for the Diploma, but it is always possible to re-take the class in order to receive a higher grade.

9.- What are the criteria for the research project and/ or the business internship?

They follow the same criteria as those for the Licentiate, with the added characteristic that the research project must clearly be of an environmental character.

10.- Do the project and the internship necessarily have to be six credits?

Although it is necessary to have a minimum of 100 hours of work (4 credit hours), it is possible to register for fewer credits than six.
