One of the best forms of promoting the economic use and the social benefit of the results of University research is the Transfer of Research Results via Patents (TRIP in Spanish). The results which have not been patented do not generally interest businesses, since they lose their commercial value.
The success of this form of technological transfer is based on good management and involves teamwork. While the TRIP activities are directed and coordinated by the ICT, they require the active participation of the researchers.
