Escrivá (CEDEJ) is affiliated with the St. Josemaría
Escrivá Historical Institute (ISJE)

- To compile comprehensive bibliographical
resources on the published works of St. Josemaría Escrivá,
and publications of a scholarly nature about him and about Opus
Dei.
- To maintain a database with
specialized bibliographical information for researchers.
- To guide scholars working
on St. Josemaría and Opus Dei.
- To promote interdisciplinary
research, particularly in the fields of history, theology,
and canon law, on St. Josemaría and Opus Dei.
The CEDEJ began its work in 1995. Through a decree of June 26,
2002, Msgr. Javier Echevarría, Grand Chancellor of the University
of Navarra, completed its constitution, establishing that it depended,
for its scholarly and research tasks, on the St. Josemaría
Escrivá Historical Institute (ISJE), based in Rome, and for
organizational and administrative aspects, on the Rector's Office
of the University of Navarra.
