Running like a Chicken with no head.

Don’t know why or how, but there’s something wrong with us during exams. I am convinced they have some sort of effect on all of us poor students, who’re trying to make the world a better place. Although, I am not sure how to define this “influence” we suffer.

Children's Poetry

I love reading children's poems and prose, children's literature is one of the things I think is necessary in a child's education. I find reading so important, moreover, I believe it's essential in the child's development. The sooner you immerse the child in literature the better. But not only as a task meant for teachers, but also parents. Reading good literature out loud when young; is not only tremendously enriching but also very educative!

What helps us, future educators.

Here is a link to a really good blog focused on education. It writes about different subjects, points of view, it discusses about issues and different education methods and also makes you questions our education system and our opinions.

It has good videos and tips to rethink about education, learning and school, talks about Finland and its academic success, there is one post that talks about Ken Robinson, who I mentioned in my Blog last year.

The going to class, getting ready for exams, taking notes, figuring out what classes we have but above all, working on our final project which was due yesterday.

A Strawberry farewell

I can’t believe that just last week I was still at my dear school, Sienna Academy…I am back in Pamplona getting situated with my classes and with the end of this semester.

But I find myself thinking about the kids in my class, the teachers, and the wonderful goodbye party they gave in my honor. I am so grateful for having the opportunity of taking this internship. I think I not only enjoyed every moment of it, but also learned so much about the world of teaching.

¿Qué es Montessori?

Es otro video sobre Montessori, ya puse un vídeo en alguna entrada anterior, pero era muy largo y en cambio este me gusta más. Es en español, breve y concreto. A mi me ha ayudado a entenderlo mejor.

Childen laugh and play

During this past week there has been the most amazing weather ever. It feels like spring. The trees are blossoming and when you walk outside the sun blinds your eyes.

Do you love what you do?

Today I was talking with a teacher and later on with two of my friends. We got to talking about jobs, studies, careers etc. One thing led to another and I realized how passionate they seemed when talking about there work. One of my friends, is a vet, she was telling me about how she had to do surgery on a dog, and how she is thinking of specializing in surgery. While she talked, I could not stop thinking how happy she was, how concentrated and enthusiastic she seemed.
