| Auto-loan system for the books in the Humanities Researchers Room
Whenever you take a book from the shelves of the Humanities Researchers Room to consult it at your desk, you must always scan it through the auto-loan screen to indicate that the book is in use in the room.
Why should the auto-loan be carried out?
Where can you carry out the auto-loan? |
In this way, the books that are moved to the desks appear in the catalogue as unavailable and item availability is constantly updated, avoiding unfulfillable requests by users of the Undergraduates Room (students) and fruitless searches in the shelves by users of the Humanities Researchers Room. |
There is a computer with a bar-code optical reader on the central aisle of each of the five floors of the Humanities Researchers Room. If you want to take the book home, you should go to the issue desk on the ground floor so the librarian can process the loan and disactivate the book alarm. |
Where can you return the auto-loaned book? |
Both home loan items and auto-loaned items to consult at your desk can be returned in the bookboxes located at the entrance to each floor or at the issue desk on the ground floor. |
