Reference Room

It is situated on the ground floor of the new library building. It contains all the general-content items, providing information on a variety of different fields and in various formats.

REFERENCE ITEMS

Dictionaries: monolingual, bilingual, synonyms, antonyms, etymology, by topic, symbols, lexics, etc.
Encyclopedias


- Universal: Espasa, Larousse, Britannica, etc.

- Regional: Navarre, Basque, La Rioja, etc.  

- By topics

Inventories and Directories: Lists of people and institutions of which some data are provided such as: functions, addresses, biographical details, organization, etc.

Bibliographies


- National: everything published in a country

- Commercial: items for sale

- Specialised: By subject or type of publication

- Library Catalogues: Items located in one or more libraries.

Staff in the desk outside the room will give advice on the use of the equipment, information searches, use of databases, online journals and internet resources, and will provide material which is not available on open access.
