It is situated in the basement of the new library building.

It contains a wide range of:

National, provincial, local, financial, sports and foreign press.

General interest magazines.

Official state gazettes (BOE, BON) and the official Basque community gazette.

Most of the items are available in print form, some are available in other formats: microfilm, CD-ROM and online.

The room is also equipped with other resources to facilitate press information searches:

Databases of newspaper articles
Newspaper indexes (Shelfmark ZK)
Annuals / Yearbooks (Print and CD-ROM)

Direct access is available to most of the items in the newspaper collection:

Daily Press (23 daily and weekly newspapers): Available in the display area.
Printed newspapers since 1997: available on the shelves.

Some items can be requested from the desk staff:

Press from the current fortnight: ask desk staff for the required newspaper.

Press previous to 1997: The order should be made through the catalogue.

Press in other formats: microfilm, CD-ROM: the order should be made through the catalogue.
